This looks like an interesting opportunity for those who want to get experience in theater makeup and resume credit. It looks like they will pay for supplies, but you will have to negotiate that fee yourself. Since it’s a luncheon, no harm asking if they can feed you too!
The Vancouver American Association of University Women is celebrating its 85th Anniversary with a luncheon and play on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016. The venue for the event is the historic Red Cross Building at Fort Vancouver. The luncheon begins at 11:00 a.m. and the play will start at approximately noon. The play is a series of monologs depicting 8 AAUW presidents from the 1930s through present day – complete with period costumes. We hope to have an audience of 80 to 100.
I would be interested in finding out if one of your instructors or students might be is available to help at least 3 of us with our makeup. Depending upon the cost involved, there may be more cast members willing to have their makeup done also.
AAUW is a 501(C) 3 nonprofit, so there is no budget for this addition to our performance. We just think it will look so much better if our makeup is done by a professional! Unfortunately, the cost will have to come out of the individual performers pockets. We would also be happy to give the Art of Makeup free advertising in our event program, if that’s an incentive.
Please let me know what arrangements can be made.
