Please contact Sarah directly if you are interested in helping out.
My name is Sarah G. I am the Co-director of the local non-profit The PDX Rose Network, a mentoring program for woman of color by woman of color. We pair professional woman of color with high school aged young women of color in career fields they wish to pursue. We have been so proud and grateful to run our organization with the help of the community and that is why we continue to ask for your help today for our next fundraising event on September 29th!
Angie Mikhno, of Mikhno PR (@MikhnoPR), has organized a fun, uplifting and progressive charity fashion show! We have partnered with other local companies who will be donating their time, space and services to this great cause! This charity fashion show will feature our mentees as models, Laundry (@LaundryPDX) as the clothing and venue sponsor, and Wild Roots (@WildRootsSpirits) as our beverage sponsor! As you can see we have a strong line-up of supporting sponsors and at this time we humbly ask for your additional support to make this event an even greater success!
Our mentees/models will need their hair and makeup done for the fashion show. We would be so grateful to have 2-3 of your talented students take on that task in exchange for professional photos of their work and an opportunity to put this fundraising charity event on their professional resume. On September 29th, the students will come to Laundry 204 SE Alder St. Portland, OR at 2:00pm and begin hair and make-up at 2:30pm to be ready for the show at 4:30pm. We will have snacks, beverages, tables, mirrors and outlets provided to the students! Please let me know if your students have any questions and are interested in this opportunity! Thank you for your consideration!
