COSPLAY Fabrication 3-DAY WORKSHOP
Open to all ages! – Space is limited
Learn the fundamentals of creating Cosplay costume accessories. Students will start with pattern making techniques and then create their own detailed and painted design. Techniques for creating armor and head pieces will be covered. This may include cuffs, vambraces, gauntlets, crowns, helmets, shields, or swords. Pieces made could be for shoulders, fore arms or legs. Students will have time to make one or two pieces depending on the size and complexity of the project, but will go home with the tools and techniques to create more!
Instructor Michael Peterson has worked in the film industry for over 15 years and opened his own Special Effects makeup design studio ‘Image Alchemy Productions’ in Arizona. There he led a teams of artists to create special costumes, props and practical gore/wound effects for film productions. Image Alchemy Productions became the largest Special Makeup effects/specialty costume studio in Arizona. He is also credited for his Special Effects and makeup work for many films including: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Hannibal, Blade II and Van Helsing. Pirates of the Caribbean and 3 other films he is credited on were Academy Award nominated for Best Makeup & Hairstyling. You can red more about Michael Peterson in our blog here.
