The Art of Makeup and Cirque du Soleil is partnering with MAC Cosmetics to provide every student a gift bag of Eleni Uranis’ 5 favorite MAC products that she uses on performers in the Cirque du Soleil productions. For the first time ever, Cirque du Soleil will be teaching a hands-on makeup class outside of the Cirque du Soleil School headquarters in Quebec! Makeup designer Eleni Uranis will be travelling from Quebec for this rare opportunity to share the secrets behind Cirque du Soleil performance makeup!
The Cirque du Soleil Master Class includes:
- 2-days of learning the behind the scenes process of the Cirque Du Soleil makeup creation techniques
- Makeup Designer Eleni Uranis will be doing Cirque du Soleil makeup demonstrations
- Students will have hands on practice of Cirque du Soleil makeup techniques
- Question and answer sessions
- Each day a photo session will be provided
Students will practice on each other, or you have the option of bringing a model or practicing on yourself

About Eleni Uranis, Cirque du Soleil Makeup Artist Designer/Director:
Eleni Uranis is a versatile artist who has always been interested in the relationship of colors, shapes and materials with the human body. After specialized training in the fashion and theater industry, in Toronto and Montreal, she exercised her many talents in the clothing industry first and then in the world of entertainment, exploring various facets. She has been part of Cirque du Soleil’s creative team since 1989, and worked there for several years as a costume designer assistant before reorienting her career in 2004 towards stage makeup. She now works as a Makeup Artist / Designer and has designed the makeup of 8 Cirque du Soleil Touring productions and many other special events. She also collaborated on several occasions with Red Rabbit Productions where she transformed dancers’ bodies into paintings inspired by famous artists.
